This attractive custom wood chess board is made of high quality maple and walnut 2" x 2" squares. Top playing surface is 16" x 16" with a surrounding boarder of walnut, with maple and purple heart accent strips. The lid is removable for storage of the chess pieces inside with dividers. The dividers will hold pieces up to 5 1/2" tall and a base of 2". The inside in lined with leatherette to protect your chess pieces. The walnut box and lid have decorative maple spline accents in all four corners. This eye-catching design will surely become a talking piece in your home for years to come.
